Affirmations
YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK!
You can get a handle on positive thinking with affirmations – empowering phrases you repeat to yourself at different times of the day. They’re ways to reinforce your goals, eliminate fear, and turn your dreams into reality. WORDS ARE POWER – if you believe it, you can achieve it!
Find an affirmation that is most relevant and empowering to you. You can use any of my favorites listed below or write your own. I want you to say it at least three times a day:
- When you first wake up in the morning.
- Before you go to sleep at night.
- At times of stress throughout the day.
Another key time is after you exercise, when you’re in an endorphin state. I want you to shout out affirmations while you’re feeling that rush of energy! It’s AMAZING! Play the video to see just what I’m talking about.

- I am Happy, I am Healthy, I Can Eat What I Want Because I’ve Changed What I Want!
ACTIVITY: Create your own affirmation poster. It can be on a regular piece of notebook paper, or something as big as a piece of poster board. Write it out and hang it on the wall, refrigerator or the bathroom mirror. (It won’t hurt your family to see a little positive thinking too!)
